FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 31, 2015
Pets ‘n’ Popsicles returns to Centennial Village, 1475 A St., for the second year in a row. The event, which celebrates farm animals and pets, runs from Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Admission is $18 for a family of five and includes a popsicle for each person.
During Pets ‘n’ Popsicles, visitors can enjoy a variety of animals such as ducks, rabbits, sheep, goats, turkeys, a calf and a mini horse, and pony rides are offered on Saturdays. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions.
“This year we’re going to do something new,” says Dan Perry, museums manager. “We’re going to open the entire museum to visitors so they can enjoy that experience in addition to all of the fun activities planned during our special event.”
Agfinity is this year’s petting zoo and feed sponsor.
