FOR RELEASE: The Greeley History Museum, 714 8th St., opens its newest exhibit, Peanuts… Naturally, this Friday, September 30.
The Peanuts… Naturally exhibit takes a light-hearted look at artist Charles Schulz’s exploration of the natural world through his Peanuts comic strips, videos, objects, and interactive stations. Visitors get a Peanuts-eye view of the universe, trees, birds and much more.
Schulz, who created the Peanuts comic strip for nearly 50 years, was immensely curious, an avid reader, and took a keen interest in the latest research findings in a variety of fields. Many of these facts found their way into Schulz’s comic strip, interpreted through his characters’ unique understanding of their world.
The Greeley History Museum is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children ages three to 17. Admission for a family of five is $15.
Peanuts… Naturally is organized and toured by the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, in Santa Rosa, California. The exhibit ends in Greeley on January 8, 2017 before heading to another museum for exhibition.
