The 1870 Meeker Home features the fascinating story of Greeley’s founding family. Follow a costumed tour guide and learn about the Meeker family’s successes and heartbreaking failures on Saturday, May 3 & 17, 11 am 4 pm.
This months themed tour will focus on the Meeker Children: Ralph, George, Rosenne, Josephine and Mary. How did society view the Meeker children? The events that encapsulated their lives could make for great novels yet, were true. This talk and tour discusses the somber history of the Meeker children and how they lived their lives. A costumed tour guide will be leading tours on the hour, every hour.
The Meeker Home is located at 1324 9th Ave. in Greeley. The home is open the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month for tours through October. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and $1 for children ages 6 -11.
