FOR RELEASE: The Homesteader’s Holiday event returns to Centennial Village Museum, 1475 A St., on Saturday, December 5th (2015) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors can enjoy candle dipping in the Carriage House as well as creating their own ornaments in the Lone Valley School. Food concessions are available in the Hall House with proceeds benefiting the Friends of the Greeley Museums. The Stevens-Reynolds House is lavishly decorated in traditional holiday style and Selma’s Store is available for visitors to shop for unique gifts and other holiday items.

There will be entertainment at the Weld Centennial Church including:

  • 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Holiday and classical music performed by pianist Rachael Figgs
  • 11:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Young Chautauqua Jeb Mathews performing as Mark Twain
  • 12:00 p.m. – 12:15 p.m.: Young Chautauqua Addie Aragon performing as Josephine Roche
  • 12:15 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Young Chautauqua Kathryn Broderius performing as Caroline Churchill
  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Bluegrass traditional and holiday music performed by bluegrass band Rusty 44

Admission is $3 per person and is free for children 12 and under with a canned food donation for the Weld Food Bank.
