"Preservation, Education, Service: Daughters of the American Revolution" Exhibit Opens @ Greeley History Museum | Greeley | Colorado | United States

The exhibit will highlight through select photographs, historic documents and artifacts, the impact of the Centennial State Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution through 113 years of Greeley’s history as related to their motto and mission. The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution’s motto is “God, Home, and Country” and coupled with it is a mission focused on Patriotism, Education, and Historic Preservation.

Greeley’s DAR received their charter in 1904 as the 655th chapter admitted to the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, a service organization founded in 1890. Highlights include a flag created for America’s bicentennial celebration and two doll costumes made in the likeness of those made and worn by Josephine Meeker and Shawsheen.
