2018 Potato Day
Saturday, Sept. 8, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Hosted by the Friends of the Greeley Museums
Step back in time and learn about the early pioneer settling of the western high plains and enjoy everything the Village has to offer and much more during the annual Friends of the Greeley Museums Potato Day celebration! Potato Day is a one-day living history festival in September that celebrates the agricultural heritage of the region and features historic demonstrators, musical entertainment, children’s activities, a used book sale, beer garden and best of all… a baked potato bar!
The Friends of the Greeley Museums is the City of Greeley Museums’ partnering organization that organizes and runs this amazing event as their major annual fundraiser. Funds raised by this event, and through other efforts of the group, provide support for various museum projects. For instance, in 2016 the group funded and built a pavilion which can be rented by the public for various events and in 2015 the group graciously donated an entire exhibit which helped boost museum attendance three-fold.
